The Daniel Defense DDM4 M4A1 is a duty-grade, military-inspired AR-15 platform built to deliver uncompromising reliability, accuracy, and durability. Modeled after the rifle fielded by U.S. forces, the M4A1 brings combat-proven performance to the civilian market in a premium, factory-built package.

At the heart of this rifle is a 14.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel, engineered from chrome-moly-vanadium steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant coating for extended service life and consistent accuracy. The barrel is permanently fitted with a muzzle device to meet legal length requirements while preserving the handling and balance of the true M4 profile. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it safely fires both 5.56 and .223 Remington ammunition, giving shooters broad ammo compatibility.

The rifle features Daniel Defense’s renowned RIS II free-float quad-rail, the same rail system adopted by SOCOM. This rugged rail allows secure mounting of optics, lights, lasers, and vertical grips without affecting barrel harmonics, helping maintain accuracy even when fully accessorized.

Forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, a properly staked gas key, and a mil-spec bolt carrier group ensure dependable function under demanding conditions.
